Okay the next theme should have been Love, but dammit, that's a hard theme, thought and all that. So i skipped to blood, that's easy. Blood is number 17.
Crits yes, I can't do anymore since I've stared at it too long at this point.
Edit: Colors pushed a bit more with shadows, missing markings added.
A horrible vision, a vision of something worse to come..
Colors are a bit dull. If you could use a filter to brighten them some, and then darken the blood, it would get the point across a bit more. Currently it just looks like he's vomiting everywhere.
The red confetti, especially the one directly covering the critters flank, is really distracting to me. When I cover them up, or squint past them, I get a fuller range of depth. If the confetti must stay, you need to have them interacting with the environment, ie. casting shadows (I don't think it should cover/touch the figures at all). Right now, they are flat, and look pasted on. Might try taking them away completely and see if they even need to be there.
Overall, really nice composition and strong theme.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
